SCA Description:
The SNIA Certified Architect (SCA) certification from SNIA Certification was established in 2001 and was updated in 2006. SNIA SCA is aimed at students who are currently employed in the storage networking environments, or those who want to find employment in those environments, and want to obtain the SNIA Certified Architect (SCA) certification.
The SNIA Certified Architect (SCA) certification certifies that a successful SNIA Certified Architect (SCA) has learnt the knowledge of general storage networking concepts and the subject of interoperability in storage networking. The successful SNIA Certified Architect (SCA) certified student will have knowledge in storage networking concepts, technologies, and solutions . These are all fields in the Service Provider and storage network environments.
SCA Prerequisites:
The SNIA Certified Architect (SCA) certification is only available to students who have 6 months experience in IT and/or storage networking operations.
SCA Required Exams:
To be awarded the SNIA Certified Architect (SCA) certification, the SNIA Certified Architect (SCA) student must successfully pass two exams namely; the SNIA S10-100 SNIA Storage Network Foundations, and the SNIA S10-300 SNIA Architect – Assessment, Planning & Design exams. These exams have a difficulty rating of about 3 out of 5 and are thus only a moderately difficult exam. They are available in English only.

SCA Recertification:
A successful SNIA Certified Architect (SCA) student will hold the SNIA Certified Architect (SCA) certification for one year only, after which the SNIA Certified Architect (SCA) student must re-validate their SNIA Certified Architect (SCA) certification by retaking and passing the latest version of the SNIA SCA exams.
