SCP Description:
The SNIA Certified Professional (SCP) certification from SNIA Certification was established in 2001 and was updated in 2006. SNIA SCP is aimed at students who are currently employed in the storage networking environments, or those who want to find employment in those environments, and want to obtain the SNIA Certified Professional (SCP) certification.
The SNIA Certified Professional (SCP) certification certifies that a successful SNIA Certified Professional (SCP) has learnt the knowledge of general storage networking concepts and the subject of interoperability in storage networking. The successful SNIA Certified Professional (SCP) certified student will have knowledge in storage networking concepts, technologies, and solutions . These are all fields in the Service Provider and storage network environments.
SCP Prerequisites:
The SNIA Certified Professional (SCP) certification is only available to students who have 6 months experience in IT and/or storage networking operations.

Required SCP Exams:
To be awarded the SNIA Certified Professional (SCP) certification, the SNIA Certified Professional (SCP) student must successfully pass one exam namely; the SNIA S10-100 SNIA Storage Network Foundations exam has a difficulty rating of about 3 out of 5 and is thus only a moderately difficult exam. This exam is available in English only.
SCP Recertification:
A successful SNIA Certified Professional (SCP) student will hold the SNIA Certified Professional (SCP) certification for one year only, after which the SNIA Certified Professional (SCP) student must re-validate their SNIA Certified Professional (SCP) certification by retaking and passing the latest version of the SNIA SCP exam.
